It happens a lot to me, because like you, I write for a living. When you've spent all your energy on your day job and freelance projects, what's left for the personal writing that you promise yourself you need to do to keep that creative spark?

You're lucky to be in New York. Always wanted to be there and see the museums, but since I'm not, I try to find inspiration in my own neighborhood. I'd like to think if we pay more attention, we'd find something inspiring. Of course, those random walks are sure to lead us someplace new. I do that a lot, just so I don't go the same route every day, from work and back. Just for fun. Just so you do something different every day.
